Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable GI Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting gastroenterology procedures and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during gastroenterology procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain equipment for diagnostic imaging and other procedures.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations, including the collection of patient history and vital signs.
- Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
- Ensure that all medical imaging is performed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Educate patients about procedures, pre-and post-operative care, and follow-up instructions.
Experience
- A strong background in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge is essential for this role.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and medical imaging techniques is advantageous.
