Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management & Accounting:
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR to verify pay rates, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Review timecards, expense reimbursements, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Generate payroll reports and ensure system integrations with accounting software.
- Prepare invoices, track billing, and monitor grant expenses.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support budget preparation, financial reporting, and tax filings.
- Assist in month-end close and expense variance analysis.
Additional Support:
- Assist with audits and provide cross-training on accounting systems.
- Serve as a backup for accounting team members as needed.
- Contribute to special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of payroll and accounting experience.
- Proficiency in payroll/accounting systems (e.g., Paylocity, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
