Job Overview – Accounts Payable and Payroll Supervisor:
Compensation: $75,000 – $80,000/year bonus
Location: Gloucester County, NJ

Atlantic Group is representing a top client hiring an Accounts Payable and Payroll Supervisor in Gloucester County, NJ. This full-time role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in full-cycle AP and payroll operations. You’ll manage vendor payments, oversee weekly payroll processing, support month-end close, and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable and Payroll Supervisor:
- AP Oversight: Manage invoice processing, 3-way matching, and vendor payments via check, ACH, and wire.
- Vendor Management: Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll, including PTO, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax filings.
- Expense & Reporting: Oversee expense reports and prepare payroll/AP reports, W-2s, and 1099s.
- Month-End Close: Support reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting for AP and payroll functions.
- Compliance & Support: Ensure compliance with wage laws and partner with HR/payroll systems and finance leadership.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable and Payroll Supervisor:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounts payable and/or payroll, preferably within a multi-departmental or mid-to-large-scale organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with experience using ERP systems and payroll platforms.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong communication skills and the discretion to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of payroll tax laws, wage regulations, and best practices in financial recordkeeping.
