You will have the opportunity to help a top hedge fund firm that is rapidly growing. You will be working out of their NYC office (5x in the office).
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of audit (Big 4/top 10 highly preferred) OR fund accounting experience.
Responsibilities
- Help with the close, journal entries, GL, etc.
- Assist with daily P&L reporting process (confirms, booking trade activity, derivative settlements, payments)
- Cash, trade and position reconciliations (products include equities, futures, swaps, options, fx and other derivatives) with counterparties and administrator
- Frequent communication with fund administrator
- Assist in other processes relating to month-end close
- Invoice review and wire entry
- Assist in preparation and review of audited/unaudited financial statements
- Assist with preparation and review of regulatory reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting
- 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in the accounting field
