DETAILS:
- Position: Fund Accountant
- Location: Boston, Ma
- Schedule: Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
- Compensation: $110K - $120K Base 10% Bonus Fully Paid Benefits
REQUIRED TO APPLY:
- BS of Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or Higher Required
- 2-4 years of public accounting experience (audit or tax) with financial service clients required
- CPA, highly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including investments, capital contributions, and distributions. Record investment transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and management fees.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for investors and regulatory agencies. Provide detailed reports on fund performance, including valuation of portfolio investments.
- Collaborate with investment teams to gather necessary data for the valuation of portfolio companies. Ensure accurate and consistent valuation methodologies in accordance with industry standards and fund policies.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, fund agreements, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and ensure compliance with SEC, IRS, and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process. Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings and assist in tax-related inquiries.
- Prepare investor capital statements and distribution notices. Address investor inquiries related to financial performance and fund operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
- Utilize accounting software and systems to manage fund accounting functions. Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
Salary : $115,000 - $120,000
