The firm is a $30B true alternative asset manager with strategies including Private Equity, Credit, and Real Estate with a 30-year track record.
Due to growth, the firm is currently recruiting a Senior Fund Accountant to report directly into their CFO in a dynamic position that will encompass all aspects of fund accounting on their private equity portfolio. Further, the expectation is that this role would eventually evolve to cover a variety of asset classes. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a world class firm and get exposure to very complex/exciting deals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the accounting and reporting functions for the firms funds and managed accounts.
- Be a key member helping out with the month, quarter, and year-end close process
- Help with capital calls, distributions, and reconciliations
- Work with the fund administrators
- Audit/tax support
- Compliance reporting
- Respond to investor requests and special projects as they arise
- Various other analyses/reporting with respect to the investments and operations of the Funds and managed accounts.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years fund accounting, public accounting, or related industry experience within financial services
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
