Job Duties:
• Manages the Revenue and AR accounting team
• Leads Revenue and AR accounting team through month end close process to review, reconcile and post adjustments to Revenue and all revenue-related balance sheet accounts
• Provides ongoing education on the details of revenue recognition under ASC 606, customer invoicing, and any other revenue-related topics
• Reviews customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.
• Develops, implements and updates Revenue and AR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with GAAP requirements
• Advises business Practice Areas on the application of ASC 606 and its impact on the timing of revenue recognition
• Collaborates with Finance Systems and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to develop additional functionalities and reporting capabilities within Workday FMS
Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP particularly in ASC 606 (including Gross vs. Net Revenue and Contract Cost Capitalization)
- Established history of leadership experience
- Must maintain integrity and attention to detail at all times
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
- Proficiency in Workday FMS preferred but not required
