Job Overview – Operations Associate/Senior Associate:

Join our client as an Operations Associate/Senior Associate in New York, NY, and oversee trade operations, manage reconciliations, and support financial reporting processes. This hybrid role involves collaborating with prime brokers, custodians, and internal teams to enhance efficiency, drive automation, and optimize operational workflows.

Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000/year bonus

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Operations Associate/Senior Associate:

• Reconciliation Oversight: Manage cash, position, trade, and P&L reconciliations across financial institutions.
• Trade Processing & Settlement: Book trades, ensure timely matching, and facilitate accurate trade settlements.
• Margin & OTC Settlements: Review and affirm margin calls and OTC settlements for timely execution.
• Pricing & Validation: Assist in pricing validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Month-End Close & Audits: Support accounting and operations teams with audits and tax processes.
• Process Optimization & Automation: Enhance reconciliations, reporting, and workflows through automation.
  
  

Qualifications for the Operations Associate/Senior Associate:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hedge fund operations or middle office experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Exposure to credit markets, including ABS, MBS, and structured finance, is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with Advent Geneva or similar portfolio management systems is a plus.
• Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
