What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Billing Analyst position at Atlantic Group?
Key Responsibilities:
Billing and Invoicing
- Collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure timely and accurate setup and invoicing of awards.
- Lead monthly billing activities for sponsored research.
- Prepare and submit interim and final sponsored invoices in compliance with sponsor requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in billing and invoicing processes, propose solutions, and implement enhancements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and advance payment balances, apply payments to invoices, and support the collection of outstanding receivables.
- Ensure accurate completion of federal financial reports before external deadlines, following federal regulations.
- Calculate and prepare journal entries
- Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and prepare final deliverables.
- Provide support for fiscal year-end external audits related to grants and contracts.
- Contribute to the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation in alignment with GAAP and institutional policies.
- Assist with monthly federal letter of credit drawdowns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of billing and invoicing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Uniform Guidance and compliance with sponsored research grants.
- Proficiency in GAAP and understanding of general internal controls.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Google Apps.
- Experience with ERP software packages; Oracle Cloud experience is a plus.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and adaptable to a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
