Valuation Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Valuations Associate to join our clients team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of deal execution, valuations, and portfolio management, supporting investment decision-making and fund operations. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or fund operations, ideally within venture capital, private equity, or investment management.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Execution & Portfolio Management:

• Oversee day-to-day execution for assigned deals, including reviewing pro formas, investment documents, and wires
• Collaborate with the team to analyze deal structures, investment trends, and portfolio allocation within the firm’s funds
• Coordinate investment cash needs with the Funds team to ensure efficient execution

Valuations & Financial Analysis:

• Provide well-supported valuation recommendations for assigned portfolio companies
• Develop and refine waterfall models using investment documents
• Prepare detailed performance reports for portfolio companies

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CFA is a plus)
• 2-4 years of experience in public/private accounting, fund operations, or investment.management; experience in venture capital or private equity preferred
• Strong understanding of valuations & financial modeling
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
