What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valuation Associate position at Atlantic Group?
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for reviewing quarterly valuation models and memos which are prepared by the third party service provider for the private equity portfolio.
-Lead discussions with deals teams related to the portfolio company performance and manage multiple meetings with the deal teams on a quarterly process.
-Present valuations to the valuation committee on a quarterly basis and coordinate setting up meetings on the calendar for this process.
-Update quarterly valuation summary and performance metrics files as needed.
-Reviewing input tables based on the quarterly valuation models prepared by TPA***
-Address external auditor questions related to the year-end valuation models and interface with auditors on any queries that should be resolved in a timely manner.
-Responsible for ensuring the entire valuation process runs on time and coordinate providing data to accounting team so they can complete the quarterly financials.
-Prepare portfolio company financial metrics for investors.
-Actively update and maintain hypothetical returns analysis.
-Review financial return metrics used in marketing materials (quarterly letter, investor pitchbook, annual meeting/LPAC presentation, co-investor reports, etc.)
-Assist with analyses on performance compared to underwriting as well as various benchmarks.
-Preparing add-hoc return metrics.
- -Be proactive in streamlining current processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
-2 to 4 years of Valuations (Private Equity/Illiquid Securities) from Public Accounting Advisory, Consulting Firm or an Asset Manager
-3.5 undergrad GPA, Advanced Excel skills
