The Maintenance Manager will assist Genreal Managers at several locations in the Kennebunk area in preventative maintenance, capital projects and energy conservation. Accountable for maintaining the buildings and grounds with attention towards safety and asset protection.
Some Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage the daily maintenance activities at multiple locations in the Kennebunk area.
- Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule tasks with property General Managers.

- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure equipment is well cared for and stored properly.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Participate in Risk Management Programs.
- Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with hotel department heads to become aware of maintenance needs and ensure timely response to internal requests.
- Respond to calls in an on-call capacity as scheduled by General Managers
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
· 1 - 3 years’ work experience supervising a large-scale property or multiple smaller properties.
· Mandatory Pool Operator Certification (CPO) required or the ability to acquire within 30 days.
· Previous management experience running a team.
· Self-sufficient and have great personal drive.
· Ability to stand/walk a full shift, with mobility to walk hills and uneven surfaces/ladders.
· Working knowledge of repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
· Working knowledge of proper use of hand & power tools.
· Light carpentry/painting experience.
· Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as necessary.
· Guest service experience
