Job Summary:
The Staff Housing and Transportation Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting teams across the Acadia Collection portfolio by overseeing housing and providing transportation schedules to meet the team’s needs. Will also assist in onboarding and new hire orientation to the organization and surrounding area. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while building relations with the incoming and outgoing teams.
Some Areas of Responsibility:
- Prepare all housing units for occupancy and ensure that they meet company standards and set up uniformity by following inventory checklists and outlines.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety and maintenance upkeep at each unit by coordinating with Housekeeping Manager and Chief Engineer to provide preventative maintenance and/or resolve issues.
- Schedule and conduct monthly housing visits to ensure that policies are met and report infractions to the Managing Director.
- Coordinate with Managing Director on employee housing assignments, and complete check-in/checkout procedures and inspections.
- Oversee and maintain accurate room assignment records.
- Review Company Housing Rules with incoming team members and ensure adherence.
- Assist the Human Resources Team and General Manager’s on each property with onboarding processes and employment engagement by coordinating and scheduling staff to attend onboarding and orientation meetings.
- Report any team member housing and/or transportation issues/conflicts to the Managing Director.
- Assist HR and GM’s in the scheduling of season Kick Off Party, monthly employee recognition events and end of season event and any other activities as approved and communicate to team members.
- Develop and manage team communication strategies with the Managing Director.
- Provide transportation to staff for company authorized trips such as banking, weekly/biweekly provisions, doctor’s visits, etc.
- Develop weekly transportation schedules for staff sign up and schedule additional drivers as needed to meet demands.
- Provide training to drivers to ensure safe driving habits and vehicle maintenance/cleanliness standards are met.
- Collaborate with management and HR team to address employee concerns and promote a positive workplace culture.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience in human resources or a related field is preferred.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all HR matters.
- Possess strong computer/technical skills.
- Possess skills in time management, conflict resolution.
- Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
