Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide catheter care and manage patients with dementia, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to their needs.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and infection control practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus.
- Experience administering injections and performing medication administration is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required to communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
- Understanding of infection control practices and protocols is necessary for patient safety.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
