Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, aerial lifts, and other various construction equipment.
- Assess parts needed for repairs, communicate this to the parts department, and be able to move to other projects as necessary.
- Spearhead complex repair projects where more than one technician is needed.
- Prepare parts lists and estimate labor time needed to repair customer-owned equipment.
- Document and report the status of repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve overall service efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to heavy equipment repair.
Requirements
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
- 5 years of experience with heavy or construction related equipment required.
- Knowledge of tier 4 engines and high-pressure common rail systems.
- Must be able to repair multiple machines at one time; in some cases, a technician will be assigned two or more machines to repair.
- Ability to diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and manuals.
- Understand and efficiently complete service-related paperwork.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Atlantic Lift Systems provides specialty tools specific to the brands we carry. Technicians are required to provide all other tools.
- Required schedule: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (no weekends). Daily 30 minutes unpaid for lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks. All hours over 40 in the work-week will be overtime pay
