Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join the team in the Corporate Office.

The responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist include, but are not limited to:
- Contacts insurance carriers, patients, and facilities as needed to obtain maximum payment on accounts;
- Identifies issues and makes corrections or changes to achieve payment;
- Conducts follow up on hardcopy claims by researching insurance or patient data;
- Communicates errors to fellow employees to prevent future mistakes;
- Answers patient inquiries and insurance carrier calls; and
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
This full time, 40 hour per week position is based in AMI's Corporate Office location in West Atlantic City. The work schedule includes 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Qualifications
Candidate must have a high school degree or equivalent, with at least one (1) year of experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections in a medical practice or hospital setting. Candidates must have intermediate computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and be able to learn the respective programs used within this position. A familiarity with and knowledge of medical terminology is required for success in this position.
Candidates must have well developed interpersonal skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated customer service expertise. The ideal candidate is highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects under minimal supervision.
