AMI is seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-Technical Aide to join the CT team in the Egg Harbor Township, NJ office location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice!

The CMA-Technical Aide is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Provides exceptional customer service skills, delivering thoughtful, and empathetic care to foster a positive patient experience;
- Gathers and inputs detailed patient history including, but not limited to, medication information;
- Obtains vital signs, blood pressure, and heart rate.
- Places patient on a cardiac monitor and runs rhythm strip as needed;
- Recognizes abnormalities in blood pressure if provided with normal parameters;
- Monitors patients in clinical area when applicable and advised by Registered Nurse;
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support the clinical team and improve overall operational efficiency;
- Assists the Nurse and Technologist with patient care, associated with the modality, positioning the patient and performing other non-technical duties associated with readying the patient for the exam;
- Assists patients who need additional assistance changing and or ambulating. Uses all lift assist devices provided for safe transfer tasks;
- Provides patients with prepared post education/instructions when appropriate;
- Assists with clerical responsibilities, including managing paperwork, scanning documents, and entering data to facilitate efficient office operations. Pre-screening and Tasks list management assistance;
- Assists with room turnover, which includes cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and laundry duties;
- Enters patient information into the computer system;
- Performs all other duties as required and assigned, including duties as directed by the Physician or Registered Nurse;
- Schedules and re-schedules patients as needed and directed by Nursing and or Technologist;
- Reports all backlogs and delays to OA, Front desk staff and designated department staff; and
- Any other duties as assigned.
This full time, 40 hour per week position is based in AMI's Egg Harbor Township office location on the Black Horse Pike. The work schedule includes Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and one of the following certifications: CMA/RMA, EMT, or LPN license. The certification and/or licensure must be in active, good standing. American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for this position. The clinical skills listed in the position responsibilities are required for this position.
Candidates must have well-developed interpersonal skills and exceptional communication skills to ensure a top-notch patient experience. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and written, to be successful in this position. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail is required. Candidates must have strong computer skills, with the ability to adapt to new or changing technologies.
