Summary
AMI is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to join our team in the Galloway office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing outpatient Radiology practice. Saturday or Sunday shifts are available.
Job Description
- Operate all aspects of MR scanning units, utilizing extensive knowledge of systems, computers, and program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images to film or software for interpretation.
- Evaluate screenings to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field.
- Consult with radiologists and implement proper scanning protocols as directed.
- Complete daily work schedules, document in Zotec, and on any required forms.
- Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies.
- Perform quality control testing, equipment calibrations, warm-up, and shut-down procedures with proper documentation.
- Advise the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator of the need for maintenance, service, and repair work.
- Participate in office meetings, in-service programs, continuing education programs, and other designated activities.
- Respond to office codes, policies, and procedures to ensure optimum patient, employee, visitor, and physical plant safety and security.
- Demonstrate competency in dealing with patients of all ages: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Instructions
Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and MR Board Certified.
American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification is required prior to start of employment.
Must be willing to receive training and certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter.
