This role involves creating high-quality proposals that effectively communicate our technical expertise and align with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other client solicitations to determine proposal requirements.
- Develop, write, and edit clear, compelling, and compliant technical proposals, executive summaries, and other related documents.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical content and ensure accuracy and relevancy.
- Create proposal outlines, schedules, and compliance matrices to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure all proposals are consistent in format, style, and tone while adhering to company branding guidelines.
- Proofread and edit proposals for clarity, grammar, and compliance.
- Maintain a library of templates, boilerplate text, and other reusable proposal components.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop proposal strategies and win themes.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Proposal Writer, preferably in [industry/sector].
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to convey them in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with government contracting and compliance (e.g., FAR, DFAR) is a plus.
