Our Warehouse department is seeking to hire a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join our team. As an essential part of the APS business, our warehouse team is staying busy to meet the growing demands of our customer needs. We are looking for hard working team members to help maintain our busy day-to-day operations, people who are enthusiastic, ambitious team players who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You must have a valid state driver license, clean motor vehicle report (MVR), and have an active DOT Medical Card.

TRUCK DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION: TOP DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

A Truck Driver, or Transporter, is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Job duties include loading vehicles, abiding by traffic laws, and ensuring safe unloading and delivery of products to all job sites, other branches, and our residential customers.

Drivers will also assist in Warehouse operations, working directly with the Warehouse & Branch Manager.

DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Our drivers will be operating a box truck up to 26 Ft. and rack truck.
• Must be able to communicate in English, written and verbal.
• Must have clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must have 3 years clean, no fault driving record. (Required).

WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an essential part of the APS business, our warehouse team is staying busy to meet the growing demands of our customers. We are looking for hard-working team members to maintain our day-to-day operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect material, quantities, and accuracy for deliveries.
• Pull sales orders and confirm accuracy with customer specifications.
• Follow and enforce all WH safety procedures.
• Work with the WH team to load delivery trucks for daily deliveries.
• Receive and document all merchandise for stock.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Willing and able to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time.
• Must have reliable daily transportation to the Branch.
• Flexibility with schedule to ensure daily warehouse duties are completed before end of every shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to lift 50 pounds. While mainly standard hours are scheduled for this position, 7AM-5PM, Mon-Fri. Flexibility at times may be required to ensure all orders are picked, trucks are loaded/unloaded and job duties are completed by end of every shift. Saturday rotation of staff is required, 8AM - 1PM or 7AM - 12PM, depending on the location, overtime is required for this role.
