Atlantic Sintered, an employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker for our 240 employee manufacturing business located in Wrentham, MA. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the field and pay will be based on this experience level.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for creating and repairing tools and dies for powder metal part production, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with, or can become comfortable with, form grinding, polishing, milling graphite electrodes (Haas Supermini Mill) and operating a sink EDM (Sodick). They should also be comfortable with a Bridgeport, Surface Grinding and Lathes as well as blueprint reading, and the use of precision measuring instruments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Tool & Die Fabrication: Fabricate and repair tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications.
· Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to create precise tools and dies.
· Machining Operations: Operate a variety of machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machines) to create tools and dies.
· Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials for tools and dies based on specifications, strength requirements, and intended usage.
· Inspection & Testing: Inspect finished tools and dies for accuracy, functionality, and quality using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
· Repairs & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair worn-out or damaged tools, dies, and equipment.
· Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

Pay: $23.35 - $32.45 per hour
