Traffic Project Engineer (Connecticut) P.E.
Atlantic TPD, LLC (ATDE) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. (TPD).
Atlantic TPD, LLC (ATDE) staff provides expertise on access management, traffic and parking analyses, traffic circulation, parking design, ADA-compliance and transportation related design concepts. Safe and efficient accommodation of the traveling public is instrumental to the success of any development project. ATDE is currently hiring a Traffic Engineer Project Manager (Professional Engineer license Required) for Connecticut (remote within region).
Our ideal candidate has minimum of 5 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Additionally, we offer a creative, flexible, supportive and fun environment!
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage projects, staff and clients.
- Oversee and prepare traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, and safety audits.
- Assist in the preparation specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as work zone traffic, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, control plans and traffic signal operations analysis.
- Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as an on-site project representative.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE in CT and or NY, PTOE (desirable)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Expert witness testimony
- Experience with CTDOT design standards, NYSDOT/NYCDOT experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
- Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License
