What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Services Project Analyst (Hybrid--Richmond, VA) position at Atlantic Union Bank?
This position is primarily responsible supporting the Loan Servicing team in project activities. This requires expertise in all Loan Servicing processes and the systems used to support them. The position directs production teammates to test system changes, to create new processes and procedures, risk controls. The position creates and documents test plans, tracks progress, documents and resolved issues related to loan servicing. It is also charged with coordinating and directing efforts used to remediate Archer issues.
Position Accountabilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for all Loan Services processes, procedures and policies.
- Matrix manage production staff when engaged in large projects such as system conversion or installation if new systems.
- Works to resolve control/compliance issues note in Archer such that the result is acceptable to Corporate Risk and Compliance
- Represent Loan Services to lines of businesses, Compliance, Retail Operations and various other areas participating in projects. Makes decisions regarding workflow changes.
- Maintains a detailed working knowledge of Loan Servicing’s use of various systems, e.g. Horizon Loan, Horizon Mortgage, LaserPro, Ceris, iLien, DealerTrack, CRA Wiz, nCino, etc.
- Ensures all new or modified processes adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the Bank’s BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
- Documents procedures and process flows including process flow charts.
- Creates and leads Loan Services training related to project changes.
- Determines the budgetary impact of projects – of the project itself as well as ongoing expense.
- Signs off on projects stating they have been completed to the standards mandated by the Project Management Office.
- Ensure excellent service is provided to our internal partners and customers.
- Identifies and resolves issues within assigned projects
- Performs all other job duties as assigned and provide assistance to support team
- Provide high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information.
- Takes accountability for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure. Provide recommendations on areas of opportunities
- Ensure that Loan Services meets its assigned project schedule
- Creates task plans and time estimates for Loan Services activities in assigned projects
- Creates and executes project test plans that ensure all aspects of changes have been validated.
- Proactively communicate project status to the manager of Loan Servicing and Bank Operations and escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Estimates the staffing impact to Loan Servicing of projects
- Identifies and evaluates project risks related to Loan Servicing
- Works with vendors as needed to design and evaluate services required for operational changes.
- Ensures that SOX controls are created/redesigned and approved for the corporate SOX committee for project changes

Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of loan operations experience
- At least 3 years of project experience
- Extensive loan project experience
- Banking/accounting/finance experience required
