Your Mission
As an Ophthalmic Scribe I, you will collaborate closely with our Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to provide high-quality direct patient care. At Atlantic Vision Partners we invest in our employees by providing on-site training and paid certifications for continued growth

What You’ll Do
Obtain and document patient historyFollow AVP care-pathing modelDetermine visual acuityUnderstand routine and basic medical ICD-10 codesUnderstand routine insurance plansUse lensometer (manual and auto)Responsible for stocking roomsUnderstand schedulingComplete monthly chart auditsResponsible for medication refillsAdminister eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physicianPerform office duties and clinical tasks – entering data into EMR, providing patient servicesRequirements : What You Bring
Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as requiredMust be flexible with traveling to various locationsAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentialityThe ability to seek instruction in areas where he / she is not knowledgeableThe ability to recognize inconsistenciesHigh School diploma or GED, associate degree preferredBilling and Coding Certification required within 1-2 years from being in roleOSC Certification required within 1 year of being in roleAbility to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including the ability to use power hand tools and lift a minimum of 70 lbs.Excellent verbal communication skillsWillingness to submit to a background check (drug screen for Ambulatory Surgery Centers only)Benefits & Perks
