What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Atlantic Waste Services?
The Sales Representative is an outside sales position that will seek, contact, and negotiate with potential and existing customers to generate sales for the Company. This position will be expected to achieve and/or exceed budgeted sales and gross profit as presented by the Company.
Responsibilities
- Understand the customer is our priority, and that each employee is here to support that priority.
- Establish business to business sales relationships through in person interactions.
- Remain in contact with established customers to ensure their satisfaction with the Company’s services and to promote additional services.
- Ensure the acquisition of new customers by appropriate means including, but not limited to, direct mail, advertising, promotions, referrals, and direct sales calls and cold calls.
- Achieve monthly sales goals of targeted price/volume matrix for all line of business.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all required paperwork submitted for quotes or proposals.
- Complete and submit all sales reports and customer proposals daily.
- Ensure an accurate CRM is maintained on all proposals and leads.
- Attend weekly sales meetings to review monthly and quarterly opportunities.
- Ensure all Company transactions are conducted in an ethical and prudent manner.
- Attend trade shows, conventions, seminars, and other meetings to enhance his/her professional knowledge, promote the Company or gain sales.
- Remain current on the events and trends within the industry and competitive marketplace.
- Develop and implement effective and efficient sales and marketing programs.
- Stay informed on competitors' selling strategies, services, and market price.
- Maintain a professional appearance, dresses, business suits, etc.
- Remain visible in the business community and in the marketplace in which the Company operates and provide a positive and professional image for the Company.
- Any other duties and tasks may be assigned, from time to time, by the Vice President & President.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in business or marketing.
Experience: Three (3) years of work experience in direct business to business sales and cold calling.
