AtlantiCare, the largest healthcare organization in southeastern New Jersey, is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team. Come join an APP team working with an outstanding Neurosurgery team in our Comprehensive Stroke Center. AtlantiCare has entered a clinical partnership with Global Neurosciences Institute (GNI) to take its nationally recognized, comprehensive neurosciences services to the next level of care. GNI brings to the partnership experts who will enhance AtlantiCare’s already robust services. This will include providing a comprehensive array of treatments and therapies, from a complete range of neurosurgical services supporting AtlantiCare’s Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center designation combined with innovative functional neurosurgical procedures to neurology services treating diseases including Alzheimer’s Disease/Cognitive Disorders, Parkinson’s Disease/Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis and more.

Job responsibilities include:
- Establishing preventive measures and diagnosing and treating illnesses and disorders in a manner that is consistent with medical practice and joint protocols, as established with the collaborating physician.
- Delivering patient care in a cost-effective manner, managing and utilizing resources optimally.
- Providing care with compassion and respect to exceed patient expectations.
- Collaborating with physicians, leaders, administration, and staff to improve clinical outcomes.
- Maintaining current technical knowledge while pursuing educational and professional opportunities to enhance clinical practice and competency.
- Contributing to the organization’s educational programs and teaching activities.
- Participating in the peer review process to enhance clinical practice, demonstrating sound judgment and respect for colleagues.
- Monday – Friday 8hr shifts
- No weekends, holidays, or call
- Assist physicians in clinic
- Independently see patients for post-op wound checks, hospital follow-ups, and routine imaging screenings
- Completion of disability and worker’s compensation forms
- Master’s degree in nurse practitioner or physician assistant studies from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ law.
- Current licensure as an RN and APN in the state of New Jersey and certified by the State Board of Nursing or as a PA-C in the state of New Jersey and certified by the State Board of Medicine.
- Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff.
- American Heart Association issued BLS - HCP required.
