Overview

Atlanticus is looking for an MarTech Architect to support the organization’s email marketing and customer communications. You will lead our email execution initiatives, build automated customer journeys, and marry data from various sources. This role presents the opportunity to work closely with Marketing, Email Deliverabity, and Risk Management to optimize the use of Atlanticus’s email tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the organization’s Marketing Automation platform (MoEngage) subject matter expert, providing the Marketing team technical and functional support to ensure seamless campaign setup and deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and Data teams to develop, prototype and deploy solutions and strategies to support Marketing objectives
  • Participate in and/or lead efforts of full lifecycle campaign development, automation, testing, and optimization
  • Create and deliver meaningful analytics and reporting to monitor and show progress to Marketing Operations, Product and Business needs
  • Define and maintain the MarTech system landscape identifying gaps between current and desired end-states
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices in Digital Marketing, Cookie degradation, Compliance and Consent based marketing and trends in new technologies i.e., IDFA, AAID, GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, secure handling and management of sensitive (PII) data, permission-based user management, etc.,
  • Recommend opportunities to optimize email creative and campaigns based on results of executed emails (e.g., open rates, click-thru rates) and email marketing best practices
  • Create and modify responsive email templates using CSS and HTML that work across email clients, devices, and both light and dark mode display settings
  • Coordinate data connections between various platforms and databases via feeds and APIs
  • Document best practices and operational procedures; lead training and technical support exercises for business users

Qualifications

  • 5 years of financial services, fintech, e-commerce, loyalty, agency or related industry experience
  • Experience managing email development, deployment and marketing automation using an ESP platform
  • 5 years of financial services, fintech, e-commerce, loyalty, agency or related industry experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or a related field of study
  • Confident Client/Customer facing skills (relationship building, expectation setting and collaboration)
  • Experience in working with/on data platforms, including data & analytical systems, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools, environments, and data structures.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and effectively cross functional team environments, juggle multiple large projects, delegate appropriately and help other team members manage their projects.
  • Preferred qualifications include deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the following:
    • Major MarTech platforms (e.g, Salesforce, Adobe, Google) and their product offerings
    • Typical MarTech capabilities (1st & 3rd Party Data Collection, Consent Management, CDP, CRM & Marketing Automation, MRM, Content Management, AdTech, Measurement & Analytics) and common platforms offering these capabilities
    • Common programming languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, Java, Python, Client- and Server-side JavaScript)
    • Major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their offerings
    • Contact list database management (import, export, optimize, merge/purge, and query)
    • Dynamic content and personalization
