Overview
Come join Team Atlantis! We are currently accepting applications for Cooks. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepares dishes in an efficient manner in accordance to recipes and standards.
- Prepare food items while adhering to health department regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Know food and safety sanitation standards.
- Follow Atlantis Policies and Procedures.
- Produce a consistent and quality product.
- Other assignments as assigned my management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a buffet or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus.
**Physical Requirements: **
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays.
- Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
