Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advisor to management on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent and fair application of company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Coach leaders on documentation, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans to promote accountability and support team member development.
- Lead and conduct sensitive and complex investigations related to employee complaints, grievances, or policy violations. Provide clear recommendations for resolution and follow-up.
- Assist in the creation and enhancement of HR initiatives that promote positive workplace culture, leadership development, and employee satisfaction.
- Ensure all employee relations activities are aligned with federal, state, and local employment laws. Provide timely updates and training on new regulations and legal trends.
- Conduct exit interviews, compile and analyze data trends, and share insights with leadership to identify retention risks and areas for organizational improvement.
- Recommend innovative HR policies, procedures, and programs that enhance organizational performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Assists Director of Human Resources to develop department goals, objectives, and systems. Makes recommendations for closing leadership performance gaps based on Team Member Relations mediation and follow up.
- Under direction of Director of Human Resources, responds to team member relation issues such as complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints. Performs investigations as necessary and makes recommendations for corrective action.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE (Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years in an employee relations or managerial capacity.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of human resources best practices, employee relations strategies, and employment law.
- Experience leading employee investigations and resolving complex workplace issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present clear, concise, and persuasive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
- Demonstrated creativity, resourcefulness, and strategic thinking.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent in this position works on-site at the casino and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The position’s work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation.
