What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Damage/Reconstrution Estimator position at Atlantis Restoration & Construction Services?
The Estimator role is critical for the success of a restoration company, as they are responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate/Symbility utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards. They must be detailed oriented and understand the Insurance Restoration industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with Project Manager/ Crew Chief/ Lead Tech on scope of job
- Document loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into operating system/software
- Writes mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software
- Estimate using carrier audit standards and manage the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
- Record of Drying using mobile software such as MICA
- Communicate w/ insurance companies, and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner
- Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks
- Review quotes and estimates with the construction project team
- Addresses estimate exceptions in a timely manner
