We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Program Support Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our day program services.
Responsibilities:
- Program Management:
- Oversee the overall operation of the day program, ensuring that all activities and services are delivered in accordance with program guidelines and regulations.
- Develop and implement program policies and procedures to promote the health, safety, and well-being of participants.
- Monitor program activities and evaluate their effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to meet the needs of participants.
- Coordinate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services and supports.
- Staff Supervision and Training:
- Recruit, hire, and train program staff, including direct support professionals and other support personnel.
- Provide ongoing supervision and support to staff, including regular performance evaluations and opportunities for professional development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork and collaboration.
- Participant Support and Advocacy:
- Collaborate with participants, families, and caregivers to develop individualized support plans that reflect their goals, preferences, and needs.
- Advocate for the rights and interests of participants, ensuring that they have access to necessary services and supports.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to participants and staff as needed, responding promptly to emergencies and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Program Development and Quality Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for program growth and expansion, including the development of new services and partnerships.
- Monitor program outcomes and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in the field of disability services, incorporating new ideas and approaches into program planning and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the field of disability services or a related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve program goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards governing disability services, with a commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
