Overview

Primary responsibility for company vehicles and Ground Service Equipment (GSE) used in the support of operations to ensure all are maintained and support an overall goal of zero unscheduled downtime during operations. Schedule and oversee all preventive, corrective, and preservation maintenance for company vehicles and GSE.  Have a strong working “systems” knowledge of the GSE operation and the related maintenance including fuel, cooling, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyance, electronic, controls systems.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for company vehicles and Ground Service Equipment (GSE) to ensure all are maintained to meet all company and governmental requirements and safety regulations.
  • Provide high level of superior service to departments, while controlling costs related to maintenance operations and repairs.
  • Indenty and work with vendors based on service ratings, cost and quality to ensure company vehicles and GSE are maintained in accordance with all company and governmental requirements and safety regulations.
  • Work with different departments within the organization to gather information and assess repairs for company vehicles and GSE.
  • Responsible for the regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of GSE used in the support of operations. All work shall be conducted in accordance with the manufacturer’s schedules and industry standards with an overall goal of zero unscheduled downtime during operations.
  • Coordinate all inspections and repairs for company vehicles and GSE. Ensure all scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and preservation maintenance are performed.
  • Maintain and update the company-registered drivers lists and company-insured vehicle lists.
  • Possess an excellent working “systems” knowledge of the GSE operation and related maintenance including fuel, cooling, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyance, electronic, and controls systems.
  • Maintain local corrosion prevention and control program (within the parameters of the Company requirements and local restrictions).
  • Schedule and oversee component repairs or overhauls necessary to maintain all equipment per OEM standards.
  • Track and maintain the company assets to include titles and registration as applicable.
  • Responsible for weekly reporting on repair issues and other coordination of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow Company, customer, and regulatory agency policies and procedures, including those related to safety, health and environmental.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical college degree emphasizing heavy equipment repair and maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 or more years supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ground Service Equipment utilized in the operation.
  • Familiar with all aspects of Ground and Cargo Operations including Loadmaster, handling hazardous materials, de-icing, fueling, catering, security, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

 

Salary Range: $52,500-$71,000
