Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeping & Client Support Specialist to join our team in Woodland Hills, CA or Scottsdale, AZ. This role combines bookkeeping tasks with client management responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial reporting while maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate has hands-on bookkeeping experience and can effectively communicate with clients to gather financial data, address inquiries, and support bookkeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Support
· Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable processing, and transaction categorization.
· Assist in month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
· Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.
· Support payroll processing and assist with 1099 preparation as needed.
· Ensure compliance with accounting best practices and internal controls.
Client Management & Communication
· Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and addressing bookkeeping-related questions.
· Gather financial documents from clients, ensuring all necessary data is received on time.
· Explain financial reports and bookkeeping processes to clients in a clear and professional manner.
· Collaborate with clients to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
Administrative & Project Coordination
· Track and manage multiple bookkeeping projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
· Schedule and facilitate client meetings, providing follow-ups as needed.
· Assist with maintaining organized financial records and supporting documents.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a professional services firm or similar environment.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting software.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial reporting.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
· Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
· Experience in client service roles is a plus.
