Atlas Carts is seeking a Human Resources/Safety Coordinator for the Williston, SC manufacturing location. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, reliable, innovative, and able to work autonomously. Atlas is looking for a candidate who is willing to jump in and grow with our company!
Job Description:
- Serve as a main point of contact for employee requests and questions related HR.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Assist with recruitment and interview process, complete new hire and termination process; including background checks, MVR requests, scheduling preemployment physicals, onboarding, and reference checks as needed.
- Serve as administrator for benefits, and manage company benefits for new hires, participant changes, and terminations.
- Accurately prepare and maintain employee files.
- Review and record employee time off request.
- Maintain employee PTO records and balances.
- Record timesheet totals for payroll.
- Complete biweekly payroll.
- Understanding/ experience with human resources and payroll processes, benefits, recruitment and onboarding processes, handing employee relations issues, organization and employee investigations
- Investigate safety incidents, process first report of injury forms, maintain incident and injury reports and tracking, OSHA compliance and record keeping; and monitor, track, and record medical care.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections, meetings, and training programs.
- Create and conduct new safety orientation program.
- Schedule safety training, CPR & First Aid, and site specific trainings.
- Complete contractor prequalification applications.
- Complete requests for Certificates of Insurance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Startup plant or plant turnaround experience desired/
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and customer service skills; organizational skills and attention to detail; and excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications such as: Microsoft word and Excel spreadsheets.
- The ability to balance multiple responsibilities and prioritize. Prior experience in HR, Safety or related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability is a must.
- Proficiency in maintaining records and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
