What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Team Member position at Atlas Companies?
Candidates for the accounting team member position will understand basic accounting principles and procedures. Candidates must be excellent communicators, organized, detail oriented, due date/task driven, have basic math skills, be proficient with Windows, Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Google, etc. and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Procore and Sage knowledge/experience is preferred but not required.
This position is a member of the accounting team and will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to reviewing and verifying project budgets, reviewing and verifying vendor invoices, processing payments to vendors, reconciling invoices, preparing, and sending client invoices, receiving, and posting client payments, preparing statements and reports, researching, and resolving discrepancies, maintaining records, supporting supervisory and executive staff by performing assigned accounting and clerical tasks. This position will also have contract administration duties including reviewing and processing contracts, change orders, etc. Accounting team members will communicate directly with vendors, clients, and internal departments on a regular basis via telephone and email.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with occasional overtime required; position requires full-time work in an office environment with nearly 100% of workdays consisting of completing job responsibilities electronically with use of multiple monitors.
