The Role
- Responsibility of the Energy and Petrochemical sales covering oil free and industrial air division standard and custom designed products in this core segment for United States of America reporting to CT RVP / General Manager – South Region and dotted line to President – Atlas Copco Compressors LLC; where existing sales team report to the position in this segment. Support shall be provided by OFA VP/ BLM.
- Develop and understand the full potential plan for this segment and execute the plans
- Achieve ambitious growth targets for the region with high focus on customers needs and market share for all Major Energy and Petrochemical companies as well as consolidated profitability.
- Develop the Energy / Petrochemical local customer centre team with sales / proposals and work closely with contract coordination team to be proactive to the demands of this industry while coordinating with the various system product companies.
- Contribute intensively by developing market strategy & support activities nationwide directly and through EPC contractors.
- Effective introduction/vendor registration of Atlas Copco’s products into the Energy and Petrochemical sector/ companies.
- Work closely with OFA and AII VP BLM to maximize synergies / contacts
- Develop a strong collaborative relationship with Houston Product Company team and other product company, continuously review processes to improve efficiency and speed to market.
- Interact/co-ordinate with the after-market department to optimize services and customer satisfaction
- Participate in tenders, proposals from Feed to Execution phase with local proposal and Airpower proposals team for firm jobs with local proposal engineer with effective Prokuras. Must be able with support from Airpower product companies to have clarity of scope of supply and technical compliance. Negotiate contracts to obtain favorable commercial terms for Atlas Copco
- Arrange Lunch & Learn sessions on a regular basis with the Consultants, EPC contractors and end users to propagate our business philosophy, preferred technology scope and specifications.
- Must have a clear understanding of competitors activities / capabilities and developments which should support strategies going forward
- Develop a detailed installed base of equipment with end users and stimulate replacement opportunities.
- Maintain a full record of all installations of compressed air and gas systems, gas purifications and treatment systems in the Energy and Petrochemical sector.
- Explore the market for new business opportunities in different market segments.
- Explore and investigate the possibility of finding local packagers with good experience with the Energy and Petrochemical industry.
- Develop marketing plans and activities to help achieve targets and divisional objectives.
- Ensure that "The Way We Do Things" & “Business Code of Practice” are applied and followed.

What we expect of you?
Qualifications
- College graduate, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar industry/ role
- Fluent in English
- Strong knowledge/experience of Energy & Petrochemical customers/processes directly in the region & EPC contractor shall be an advantage
- Strong experience / technical competence in custom design units for OFA and AII is a must
- Good knowledge of FAM codes and Atlas Copco Internal procedures
