Your role:
To best serve our customers, we are increasing our presence within our service department by creating a Field Service Engineer role in Austin, TX. As a Field Service Engineer, you will support our mission of providing safe, high-quality service that is performed efficiently to our customers. Your location in Texas will put you close to your customers' locations in the central and west coasts, and you will service all our brands and products to provide a great customer experience. In addition, you will report to the Regional Team Leader.

What you will do:
* Be our customer's first contact and an ambassador and technical expert for our brands.
* Troubleshoot customer systems to ensure they operate at the desired quality and productivity.
* Engage others in the organization to guide 100% of field issues to completion.
* Create detailed customer service reports and update them in the database.
* Inspect customer warranty claims and gather the data required to validate a warranty claim.
* Train customers to use Atlas Copco IAS equipment and software correctly.
* Train other Atlas Copco personnel to repair equipment.
* This is a full-time position with a work schedule. You may need to work early, late occasionally, or on weekends as the workload requires.
* You may travel up to 70% locally and 30% nationally.

* You have at least 2 years of experience troubleshooting/ resolving field equipment issues.
* You have blueprint and technical reading skills.
* You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
* You will be reporting remotely to the Wixom MI facility.
* You are familiar with manufacturing/production or assembly-plant working conditions.
* You understand technical concepts and can detail them in writing.
* You are motivated to achieve targets.
* Basic IT concepts on how computers and electronic equipment communicate with each other
* Error Proofing familiarity
* Robot programming experience a plus
* Vision experience a plus
