To better serve our customers, we are growing our team. As an Inventory and Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all shipments and ensuring inventory control.
You will report to the Inventory and Logistics Manager and be located in the Houston, Texas office on Greens Road.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
- Handles all aspects of crating for pumps and equipment to ensure damage free shipping.
- Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.
- Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Packages and labels shipments according to guidelines and specifications.
- Maintains accurate records and assists in inventory control.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Provides quality paint jobs for pumps and equipment including the necessary paint preparation steps.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
- High school diploma (minimum)
- Experience in logistics
- Experience with UPS / FEDEX, online freight software, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ERP system (SAP)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
