Join Industrial Flow North America as a Lead System Design Engineer where you will Develop and design engineering documentation including but not limited to general arrangement layout, P&ID, assembly drawings, fabrication/machining drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and 3-D solid models using Solid Edge and AutoCAD. Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the design and development of new packaged products
- Create models and drawings of products using CAD
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Improve existing products and processes
- Ensure compliance with the industry's safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of designs
- Ensure products are user and environment friendly
- Find creative design solutions to problems
To succeed, you need
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD design with packaged pumping skids.
- Basic understanding of pumping system fundamentals
- Experience using CAD software to perform design analysis of structural and support members
- Ability to interpret technical specifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in packaged equipment layout and design, including but not limited to, pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation and structural.
- Ability to prioritize and make self-directed decisions, multi-task, and function effectively under frequent deadlines.
- Direct experience in layout and design of packaged equipment for the oil & gas industry is preferred.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent personal organization and communication skills. Must have the ability to clearly communicate verbally to customers and vendors.
- Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design.
- Great computational and spatial ability.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industry design principles.
- Dealing with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Developing effective working relationships with peers so as to work as a team
