Your Role:

Support Sales as a technical expert when evaluating opportunities, RFQ requirements and customer specifications. Manage the quoting process including creation of technical concepts, cost estimating, proposal writing and presentation of solutions to potential customers.

Support Automotive (MVI) and General Industry (GI) business lines and customers in the quoting process.

Conceptualize the application for the quotation and integrate Atlas Copco products as applicable. Provide technical support and proper product selection of our products to best interface with customer applications.

Validate our product offering will meet the RFQ requirements and identify any corresponding risks. If necessary, create an alternate offering with properly documented deviations/exceptions.

Compile necessary data for cost estimating, using Product Cost Workbook, SAP, external suppliers, product/application history and knowledge of the organization and prepare corresponding financial summary.

Write up technical proposals using established quote template/process.

Assist sales in the quotation process by contributing historical information and/or references.

Support Sales on customer visits to evaluate opportunities and gather necessary information to support creation of proposal according to customer scope and requirements.

As necessary, develop action plans, communicate open issues, and direct resources to ensure successful completion of proposals and associated tasks on time.

Work internally with all levels and functional areas of the application center.

Work collaboratively with several layers of customers, sales, distribution and end users.

Travel required (up to 15%) to support Sales and better understand our customer's processes to ensure we are quoting the optimal solution.

Demonstrate efficiency and cope with pressures & setbacks.

Apply expertise & technology in order to achieve business results.
To Succeed, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree from a university preferably in Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent knowledge based on work experience. Prefer 5 years of quoting experience in manufacturing industry, preferably with knowledge in automation within the motor vehicle &/or general industry.

Business professional with strong communication and inter-personal skills.

Technical expert in custom tooling and assembly equipment.

Analytical, detail oriented with ability to self-direct and manage multiple priorities in unison.
