Your Role

As an Accountant, you will provide crucial financial support within our Finance department. As part of the Finance team, you will report to the Manufacturing Finance Analyst. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintaining accurate financial records, including ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Preparing and uploading/downloading reports to support month-end closing processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
• Assisting in audit preparation and providing necessary documentation to auditors.
• Monitoring percentage of completion order data for tracking expected revenues and costs.
• Assisting in researching daily cash applications.
• Preparing monthly reports for the Division, Business Controller, and other departments.
• Creating ad hoc reports to support the Business Controller and management.
• Assisting in monitoring commissions, agent fees, and extended warranties.
• Acting as a backup for AR/AP as necessary.
• Assisting with process improvements and implementation efficiencies.
  
  

Your role is vital in ensuring effective, efficient, and accurate financial reporting, contributing to the overall success of our team.

To succeed, you will need

• A bachelor's degree in Account, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing).
• 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software. Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
