Your role
Your mission is to have a highly trained eye to help support our product builds and repairs. It will be your mission to support Atlas Copco Rental's growth strategy as the leader in oil Free air and Steam rental business in North America.
As Pipefitter/Pipethreader/Fabricator, you will report directly to the Production Supervisor, and will have the following mission points:
- Checking measurements and dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes, or squares
- Placing each product component in its appropriate spot as noted in the blueprints for proper alignment by using a hammer, pry bar, jack, wedge, or other tool.
- Marking spots to cut and use tools to manipulate material by cutting, hammering, bending or grinding.
- Identifying and correcting defects if they occur, using appropriate rework techniques.
- Maintaining accurate records of activities including materials used, equipment settings, and inspection results.
- Reviewing blueprints, drawings, and other specification papers before starting work and during the steps to ensure accurate completion.
- Creating templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for processes, to ensure a set standard of work quality.
- HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in pipefitting and pipe-threading.
- Ability to understand blueprints and work specifications.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Welding certificate completion; MIG experience.
- Understanding of construction tasks and industrial processes.
- Excellent color vision and hand dexterity strongly preferred
