Description
General Nature of Position: Process and Maintain Vendor transactions and corresponding General Ledger accounts. Qualify Customer for Credit and Maintain Credit Limits in Routing System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Appropriately disburse vendor invoices for approval
- Code vendor invoices as fitting to the general ledger
- Enter vouchers into the Accounting System
- Process weekly check run and Process out of cycle checks as needed
- Maintain vendor master files in Docuware
- Process annual 1099s and company 1098
- Enter related journal entries and reconcile associated general ledger accounts
- Answer and Process Incoming Customer Calls and Customer Service Overflow Requires
- Create Spreadsheets and Maneuver Data using Microsoft Excel
- Maintain and Reconcile Audit Schedules for Month-end Closing
- Support Accounting Supervisor and Controller in Maintaining Accurate General Ledger Accounts in accordance with GAAP standards
- Back up on Material Ticket Entry
- File and maintain mechanics liens
- Establish and Maintain customer credit limits to meet company standards

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
· Ability to manage data quickly and accurately
· Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and email communications
· Familiarity with general accounting systems and procedures and computer programs
· Must be analytical, able to catch onto new concepts quickly and work well in a dead-line driven
environment. Clear written and oral communication is a must.
· Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Good verbal/written English skills and effective interpersonal skills
2) Minimum educational level:
· Completion of High School or Equivalent
Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred
3) Experience required:
· At least two years of related experience
4) Physical Requirements:
· Possess the mobility to maneuver throughout the building
· Use a keyboard and computer terminal, telephone and other office equipment
· Able to lift up to 20 lbs
· Occasional moving of furniture or equipment or office supplies
· Normal sitting and walking
