We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of Atlas Distributing Inc., a family-owned, family operated full-service beverage distributor servicing customers throughout the central Massachusetts market since 1933.

CONTROLLER OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily tasks and associated functions of accounting, payroll, cash/debt management, customer service, accounts receivable/credit management, and IT. Responsibilities include management and development of 7-8 direct reports, while also identifying and recommending opportunities for staff, system and process improvements.

You will work closely with the chief operating officer, customer service, operations, sales management (beer and soda), and accounting. The position also partners closely with Atlas’ suppliers and other stakeholders (VIP and IT, banking, office supplies, etc.).

CONTROLLER REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or business management

·        5 years technical experience in accounting, fiscal administration and budgeting, personnel administration, and business management, including 3 years in a supervisory administrative or management capacity.

·        Proven, effective leadership skills with solid decision-making skills and ability to manage and motivate staff

·        High level verbal and written communication skills

·        Proven strong business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with various levels

·        Effective analytical skills, including ability to be a problem solver, while also being adaptable and transparent

·        Strong financial management technical skills

·        Strong technical skills: Accounting, Microsoft Office (notably Excel and Word), Outlook, etc.

·        Solid working knowledge of Information Technology
