Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes including milling and electrical discharge machining.
- Utilize CAD software, such as SolidWorks, to create and modify designs for production.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and bore gauges to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in programming.
- Troubleshoot issues with CNC machinery and make necessary adjustments to improve production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programming changes, machine settings, and production runs.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software, particularly CAD applications like SolidWorks.
- Experience with machining processes including milling machine operations and electrical discharge machining.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement tools such as micrometers and bore gauges.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles for interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
