Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team
- Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
- Researching tax and accounting issues and providing guidance to clients.
- Working closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, and supervising
- Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture.
- Build client relationships and communicate with monthly calls/emails
- Supervise bookkeepers in monthly production
- Review monthly financial statements
- Work with monthly clients to record their business transactions in Quickbooks
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments, as well as help cut checks
- Take vendor phone calls on when checks went out and current vendor balances
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing and deposits
- Recording Journal Entries: sales tax, payroll, depreciation, third party app fees, adjusting end of year
- Recording Journal Entries: sale of assets, establishing assets, and construction close out flips
- Perform quarterly and annual payroll returns
- Perform workers compensations audits
- Perform company formations and maintain company formations
- Perform quarterly and annual sales tax returns
- Perform cost segregation journal entries as well as closing statement journal entries
- Maintain assets and liabilities on the balance sheet
- Compile 1099s
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Understanding of the different business entity structures and what they can write off and not write off
- For Accounting, we have monthly and a many quarterly bookkeeping clients. You will be in charge of overseeing and managing higher end client books. We have bookkeepers who will handle the monthly bookkeeping, and this role will review their work & the financial statements, then connect with the client monthly to discuss and provide value. Must be able to handle sales tax, business property tax, 1099s, payroll audits, etc. Must be able to handle journal entries on closing out properties for construction clients as well as assist in cost coding.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- 3 years experience in public accounting or related field
- 1 years supervisory
- 3 years Experience with QuickBooks Online (or other accounting systems)
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $70,000 - $95,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
