Ephemera is seeking a talented General Manager to lead operations and service to usher Ephemera into its next phase! Ephemera is the alternative to fine dining. Guests choose their own adventure by reserving a table for the tasting menu or go their own way and choose items from the seasonally changing menu. Here there are no stuffy fine dining elements to stifle the creative and impassioned environment of pure love of the art of food, wine, art and hospitality. Our team has stripped away the formality of the old steak house model. The ideal General Manager will build relationships with our guests through encouraging conversation, indulgence and experimentation throughout a meal.

General Manager is tasked with #1 priority of creating an awesome environment by focusing on motivating the team, ensuring an extraordinary guest experience, and balancing top line tasks of planning and implementing growth level goals for the brand. General Manager is expected to build and maintain a team that aligns with our culture and values, providing it with necessary resources, and leading it towards a common and unified vision

Ephemera General Manager is responsible for the following:

• People- Supported, Seen, Valued.
• Product- Excellent Food and Beverage. Every guest, every time.
• Environment- Maintain comfortable space for guests and team alike, health inspection ready at all times.
• Service- Identify Ephemera values and instill positive work culture through training steps of service and hospitality model
• Sales- Monitor and adjust marketing to fluctuate through the year. Identify sales trends and monitor costs in line. Raise top line sales while reducing costs.
• Cost Accounting- Identify and manage budget line item goals from top line sales to EBITDA. Monitor sales, labor, COGs and declining budget. 

• Use operational tools including, but not limited to: Toast, Tock, 7shifts, Slack, and Restaurant Systems Pro.
• Wine knowledge. Ability to taste new menu items and create the perfect wine pairing. Create compelling wine pairings for our rotating tasting menu, curate a unique wine selection.
• Coach, develop, and educate the team on points of service and hospitality. Provide feedback in real time to improve hospitality outcomes. Engage with guests, while selling wine and serving guests during dinner service
• Polished, hospitality minded professional. High-touch hospitality background.
• Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines at all times; ensure all Team Members are in compliance.
• Review store KPIs to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to present quarterly plan to owners and Executive General Manager.

Ephemera is an experiential, multi-sensory dining room nestled into the upstairs of Coati. We believe culinary arts and visual arts are equally important to a community, and we are looking for a like-minded wine expert with proven leadership ability to join our team. We are collaborators in the fine art of challenging the status quo. We do this with an honest approach to food and beverage to create a bespoke experience for our guests.
