Full Job Description: The CNC Apprentice will assist in the set-up, operation, and basic programming of various types of CNC milling centers (Hass, Okuma, DMG, etc.). This position is designed for individuals eager to learn and develop their skills in CNC machining. The apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced CNC operators and machinists to gain hands-on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals to understand dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
- Measure parts to print to maintain high quality.
- Assist with setting up tools, tool holders and fixtures.
- Learn to set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth of cut.
- Assist in processing necessary documentation and paperwork for completed processes.
Requirements:
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings is a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to possess a firearm.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience or training in CNC machining is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate a forklift truck and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with HAAS and Fanuc machines is advantageous.
- Ability to read drawings and follow set-up sheets.
- Inspect parts using proper inspection equipment.
