Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality Control team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance processes, overseeing inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure that all machined and assembled parts meet the highest standards of precision and reliability.
This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining quality in all aspects of production.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and educate the Quality Control team.
- Train and develop staff on quality processes, inspection techniques, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Manage daily operations of the Quality department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all inspections.
Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry and internal standards.
- Oversee inspections of in-house CNC machined parts and third-party components using advanced measurement tools.
- Develop and implement processes to reduce defects and improve product consistency.
- Maintain documentation and quality records, ensuring accurate reporting of non-conformance issues and corrective actions.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with production, CNC, and engineering teams to implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and other technical specifications.
- Evaluate and maintain calibration of inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical equipment, and hard gauging.
Communication & Cross Department Collaboration
- Act as the key liaison between Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Report quality performance metrics to senior management and recommend action plans.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet Atlas Gunworks' standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control within a CNC manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong ability to interpret product specifications, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to set priorities, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in quality management systems, process improvement methodologies, and data analysis tools.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
