JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate must have prior legal assistant experience in general and civil litigation.
Preferred experience but not limited to:
Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, as well as summarizing discovery responses, deposition transcripts and medical records. Prepare files for trial, including but not limited to drafting pretrial motions. Basic knowledge of electronic e-filing in state and federal court.
Candidate must maintain client confidentiality as he or she communicates in a professional manner with clients, internal and external attorneys, and courts via email or phone calls.
Required skills but not limited to:
Candidate must be detail-oriented, with strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate must also be proficient in email software (Outlook), spreadsheet software (Excel), and word processing software (M/S Word). Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience: a minimum of 3 years’ experience/education as a legal assistant or legal secretary
Language: English & Spanish (Preferred)

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
